What we believe

The message we have for this world is that God loves us,

died for our sins in the person of Jesus Christ on the cross over 2000 years ago, and has a wonderful plan for our lives.

The Good News

"I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen."

About God and Each of Us
The Christian Church is the community of all those who believe in God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and profess Jesus as Lord (the “communion of saints”). God calls us together as the Church to care for one another and the world in God’s name. (Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

About the Christian Church

We believe that God can be actively working through any and all of us. Each of us is precious in the sight of God. God yearns for us to live in a loving relationship with Him and other people.

About the Bible

The Old and New Testaments are the inspired written Word of God pointing to God’s activity in our world.

About Salvation

God’s love through Jesus powerfully saves those who come to Him in repentance. Living salvation begins now—and continues after death. (John 3:16; Rom. 31:21-26)

About Grace

Grace is the primary insight that Lutheran-Christians bring to Christianity. Grace is the understanding that God’s love for all people is unconditional and free! We come to know of this special love through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Our lives of faithfulness are lived in response to God’s love—not in order to receive God’s love. (Rom. 5:15)

About God

We experience the one God in three different “persons”; “Father”, “Son” and “Holy Spirit”. The "Father" is the creator of all things. (Gen. 1; Job 38) - Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. In His life, death, and First we truly see God. Jesus was both fully God and fully human. (John 1:1-18; 3: 16-21; Phil. 2:6-11) - God, the Holy Spirit, is the power of God within us to strengthen, guide, renew and comfort us. (John 20:21-23, Acts 1:4;Acts 2:1-13)

Marriage and Family

We believe and confess that the marriage of male and female is an institution created and blessed by God. From marriage, God forms families to serve as the building blocks of all human civilization and community. We teach and practice that sexual activity belongs exclusively within the Biblical boundaries of a faithful marriage between one man and one woman.
